And tell her about the great breakfast buffet at the hotel as Aunt Mildred loves to eat.

Some history:
Morelia is a colonial city located in the north central part of the state of Michoacán in central Mexico.
The city is located in the Guayangareo Valley and is also the capital of this state.
The main pre-Hispanic cultures here were the Purhépecha and the Matlatzinca cultures which never interested anyone too much, but no major cities were founded in the valley during this time as these ancient peoples just hung around.
The Spanish took control of the area in the 1520s to exploit the ancient peoples.
The Spanish under Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza* founded a settlement here in 1541 with the name of Valladolid, which became rival to the nearby city of Pátzcuaro for dominance in Michoacán.
* years later a hotel was named after him. His cousin Roja had some cantinas named after him but they were sleezy.

past guest says:
Me he alojado en seis hoteles diferentes durante una gira por las ciudades coloniales de México y he de decir que este hotel de Morelia fue una de las mejores paradas
